Electrical Engineering is an interesting course to pursue, but surely companies specialising in the field are not many. Placement would depend on the quality of your college. Unless you are from the top colleges of the country, core sector jobs after a b.tech is a little difficult. But you can surely get jobs in the IT sector if your programming is strong. Core and govt. companies offer high package jobs based on your GATE score or after an M.tech.
