Hello,

CTVs will vary as per college. At SSSIHMS college, CTVs is a 6 year course where 2 candidates are trained every year. The total duration is structured as 2 year+ 3year and 1 year.

In first two years, The candidates goes through general surgery and allied specialist posting. By the end they appear an exam conducted by NBE.

In second 3 years, the candidates goes through cases related to cardio-vascular and thoracic specialties. They go through trainings and handson in these duration.

In the last year, they go through centre of excellence and go for an exit exam.

During the training period, the stipend is paid as per NBE and at SSSIHMS, the course is provided free of cost.

It will differ very little for other colleges but the conduct of the course will be same and as per the guideline of NBE.
