Recruitment for scientific officers at Bhabha Atomic Research Center is done through the BARC Training Schools after a orientation course and subsequent training of the Trainee Scientific Officers and is strictly based on performance and then the TSOs are appointed at the post of Scientific Officers with some increments.

The salary structure are as follows:

• Basic Pay: Rs 61,300/-
• Dearness Allowance: 12% of Basic Pay.
• House Rent Allowance: 24% of Basic Pay.
• TA: Rs. 7200.
• Thus the total gross salary comes at around Rs.91,432(Without deductions).

The net take home salary is around Rs.75,000/- per month.
