Here are some preparation tips for jee exam :-

1. Collect all the study material and go through it.

2. Practice last year papes to get an idea about the exam pattern. There are chances for similar questions to be asked.

3. Identity your weak areas and work on it.

4. Make a time table and divide the chapters according to it and complete it on time.

5. Practice basics until your fundamentals are clear.

6. Focus on the chapters that carry more marks and keep revising them.

7. Prepare a list of the important formulae and stick it in front of you so that you can revise whenever possible.

8. Go through mock tests so that you know where you stand.

9. Time management is very important for jee. So ensure that you are solving the model papers within the time limit.

10. Know the exam pattern and how many marks each section carries. Based on that practice for each section.

With your skills and efforts, you can definitely clear the new exam. Also, remember that along with preparations, proper diet and sufficient rest is also important

Learn All the concepts and don't biheart . Know syllabus and exam pattern thoroughly . Prepare a study plan. Start with the basics. Refer books and topics recommended by toppers and experts. Manage you time well and make a proper time schedule for your studies. Go through all the formulae daily . Practise Previous years questions paper and mock test paper. Revise all important topics and notes. So in this way you can get good score . Good luck.

Going through previous year papers helps a lot. So go through all the previous years papers.

For Chemistry, Follow NCERT text book, and for Organic chemistry Solomon And Frhyle's work is great. You can go through that if you are interested.
For maths, go through Cengage publication books and Arihant Publication books for Algebra
For Physics, HC Verma for conceptual understanding, and unique problems. 

Go through previous years papers. Try building on your strengths than worrying about weak spots.

1. Plan your study well.
2. My personally recommend books include Cengage publications books for JEE for Physics, Maths. Use Neeraj Kumar's Physical Chemistry. NCERT text book is enough for Inorganic Chemistry. Use Sonal Rajora's JEE adaptation of Morrison Boyd's Organic Chemistry or the Cengage one (they are similar). If you still have doubts in physics, then use JEE adaptation of Resnik Halliday Walker by M.K.Singhal. These books are excellent because their language is easy and they have explained topics in detail along with having many solved and unsolved questions to practice. Many of my friends and the people who have counseled from me have benefited from these. You may also refer to the books by Vinay Kumar (VKR) for mathematics.
3. In maths start with Algebra (which includes Log, Quadratic Equations, Permutations and Combinations, Binomials and Probability), then Trigonometry (includes basic trigonometry, SOT and Trigonometric equations) and then complete Calculus. After that, start with Straight lines, Circles, the Conics, and coordinate geometry.
4. In Physics, start with Electricity and magnetism, then Optics and Waves, then Mechanics and at the last Modern Physics (Which you can afford to leave if you cannot cope with it).
5. In Chemistry, you have 3 major parts - Organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. Start all three parallel. For organic, go by the order of the Cengage publications books have in them and not by the order in which NCERT teaches for you will get confused and bored.Cram inorganic chemistry every day for at least Half an hour daily.
6. Join a test series of any major classes like FIITJEE or Resonance or Bansal or Allen. Whichever you join, don't forget to solve as many sample papers and tests you can strictly adhering to the exam ethics and time.
7. Practice as many problems as you can and of a large variety.
8. The quality time you utilize matters and not the quantity of time spent. So dedicate 2 hours every day for each subject. There is no need for 16 to 18 hours of study. Avoid the so called "Time Pass" or procrastination for the coming few months. These are the most important moments of your life for your future will depend on how you study in this period.
9. Sleep well for at least 6-7 hours. If you have troubled sleep or nightmares, sleep with music on at the lowest volume possible. Do not listen to Rock, Metal, Rap, Yo-Yo Honey Singh or any other loud music.
10. Don't study late at night. Most have a habit of studying late at night. It's a mistake that's quite dangerous. Your body metabolism changes to the unhealthier side. Stay up maximum till 12 or 12.30 AM. Get up at around 7 AM. Don't ignore this.
11. Always study between 9 AM to 5 PM with a break in-between. Whatever the reason be, DO NOT get up from 9 to 12 and 2 to 5 so that your mindset is perfect till JEE. Maintain an exam-hall environment and exam-ethics in this time interval. Do not let anyone disturb you. Strictly adhere to this.
12. Study only on a table and chair. Get off those lousy lazy beds or sofas or the floor.
13. Eat right and healthy. Have your meals on time and keep them non-oily and less spicy. Eat on time and do not skip any meals. Especially breakfast.
14. Never fall ill from now. Maintain a personal hygiene. Bathe daily in the morning and get ready till 8 am. Keep your things in a disciplined way. There's a thing about the human mind: if you decide that you won't fall ill and maintain hygiene, you won't fall sick. Do some physical activities: go for a walk, play safe, join the gym (but nothing excessive).
15. Cut off, useless friends. You need to go ahead in your life past them. Keep one or two good friends who will be there to solve your doubts. Just ask them the question and they will answer. This takes just 5 minutes at most.
16. Get off the internet. You don't need it now! Throw your gadgets, phones, PCs, etc away. Seriously, these things ruined a lot of my friends. (I made a personal list of 250+ movies and 15+ TV series during JEE preparation that I had saved to watch later. I completed this list within a year along with all the new movies.) Remember: IITs have the fastest internet you will ever get in any college in India (This was quite motivating for me). 3G is is just a small fraction of our LAN speed (approx 4-5%). Go out, play safe, go to a movie theater to catch that new movie, listen to songs when on a break from studies but stay away from your smartphone!
17. NO GROUP STUDY! Group studies are utter foolishness and they never help. You will end up wasting a lot of your precious time. Doubt clearing takes just 5 minutes at max.
18. Boyfriend/Girlfriend Problem? (This thing is serious for the ones who have. Many people ask about it and this is quite natural. Don't be ashamed. This is a controversial point but it cannot be ignored. And if you don't have one right now, perfect! If you have a crush on someone right now, woo him/her after JEE with your IIT seat.) Tell your parents about it and hope that they understand. Explain to them if you don't want to leave her/him at the moment. Be patient with them. Chat with her/him only on the phone by calling her but not more than half an hour daily. Do NOT use texts to contact. Texts waste a lot of your time. Else, you can meet her/him for no more than half an hour a day. All in all (s)he should not be worth more than 1/2 an hour a day and that includes the travel time. Even make your partner study! (BUT, do not study with him/her)
    PS: If you are a parent reading this, please understand that this is to keep your child's sanity intact during this stage. Co-operate with your kid and understand his/her emotions. At this moment, just don't use force otherwise it will ruin him/her and make matters worse. Be patient with your kid. Your child's psychology is the most important thing during this tense period. Everything will crash down if you won't take it patiently.
19. The Last but not the least, in fact, the best thing is to join some paid and professional video lectures. You can study anything anywhere and you can get all your doubts cleared through their online doubt clearing platform.
