I regret to inform you that with a rank of 9k in obc category its difficult for you to get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like top nits with mechanical as branch.

Mechanical branch in every most soughted nits gets filled with maximum rank upto 4k to 5k.e ven in jharkhand under homestate quota you might not get any seats in mechanical branch.

But considering lower nits you can get mechanical engineering.
Nit shillong , nit aizwal , nit imphal , nit silchar
