Please tell me difference between mechanical engineering and autompbile engineering?

Automobile engineering is a branch of Mechanical engineering.

Mechanical Engineering deals with a division of Engineering that deals with the mechanics of physics and science to analyze, manufacture and design mechanical systems and automobile engineering is the division of Vehicle Engineering.

Both the branches have good scope now-a-days. There are lot of job opprounities in both private as well as public sector.
