The syllabus for DU MA political science entrance is -

1. Political theory
2. Political thought (western and indian)
3. Comparative politics and political analysis
4. Indian constitution
5. Public administration
6. International relations

Earlier exam used to be subjective but now the pattern have changed to objective type consisting of 100 MCQ’s.

I would recommend you to read Political Science by ND Arora. Although it is meant for Civil services preparation but it covers the syllabus of entrance fairly well.

Along with it, download IGNOU BA (Pol Sci) course content from egyankosh and read it selectively laying special emphasis on international relations and Comparative politics.

Lastly Political Ideologies by Andrew Heywood is a good read. It is compact and has relevant content.

Apart from these books, you must read current affairs relating to National and International importance of last 6 months.
