Powers and functions of High Court are listed below.
Power of Judicial Review can be witnessed
Writ Jurisdiction. Writs like nature of habeas corpus, mandamus, quo warranto, prohibition and certiorari for enforcement of Fundamental Rights (FR) and for other purposes.
Supervisory Jurisdiction.
High Court can transfer any case from one court to another court and also it can transfer the case to itself as well.
Hight Court has control over Subordinate Courts and Tribunals except armed forces and including working of subordinate courts.
Appellate Jurisdiction is provided
Court of Record
In High Court original Jurisdiction takes place
