Actually GATE score is an additional attraction to your resume for even private recruitments. So qualifying in GATE is a best advantage to get into any firm.

GATE is for recruitement to post graduation degrees and public sector jobs.

For private sector you need communication skills, experience, positive attitude and skils

For this try to get internships from known firms and work on projects with determination.

A descent GATE score is always a highlight in the resume though.

As far as I know none of the private companies use GATE to recruit. Sorry.
