Hello,

The correct answer is option (a) to protect the plant from pest infestation like from nematode. RNAi will cause the introduction of RNA complementary to mRNA of nematode and therefore in the nematode silencing of RNA will take place due to formation of dsRNA and the pest cannot survive in the host plant.
