The university will be established as a state private university under the Sangai International University Act, 2014 (No. 6 of 2015) and recognized by UGC in accordance with the provisions contained in section 2(f) of University Grant Commision Act, 1956 and empowered to award degrees in terms of section 22 of UGC Act,1956.
