You have two options to become an CBI Officer.

• You must choose Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC and become an IPS officer. To join as sub-inspector in CBI, you should go through SSC CGL examination. To become sub-inspector in CBI, you must qualify in SSC CGL exam.

So its your choice to go through.
