Hello applicant!

The choice of whether to drop or continue the course completely depends on you.

If you feel you need to focus on GATE, then go on and then decide will you be able to do it along with your studies or not.

Also I think, if you have already started your course then why need to drop unless you are not interested in it.

If you feel you are not interested in the course, it is ok to drop. but if you are good in it,then why to waste years.

So take the decision wisely.
