Dear aspirant;

Almost every good engineering college offer a degree in mechanical engineering. This is the branch with the most students in India. Almost every single IIT and NIT offer a degree in mechanical engineering.

You can consider all IITs par above than NITs but there are some NITs that are as good as any other IITs. IIT Bombay, Madras, Delhi, kharagpur, Roorkee, BHU , Lucknow and kanpur are some best IITs while NITs like Trichy, Rourkela, Surathkal and Warangal are as good as any other IITs.

Getting a mechanical degree from here will be more preferable.
