I am not sure about which exam you wrote. Anyway even if your belongs to Gen-EWS, if your score is greater than General Category students, you will also consider as a General Category Student and you will get seat. At that stage there is no use the reservation of General EWS Quota.

But if your percentile is lesser than General Category cut-off, Then here your reservation quota plays a role. There is 10 percent reservation for Gen-EWS students in all central government institutions. There is a possibility that you can get from here.
