Yes definitely while counselling and paper verification there would be an issue as everything must be accurate to prove your identity.

But since the mistake is there then to avoid that you have to create a proper legal documents to show it while counselling that during form filling this was the mistake and then while counselling and admission make sure to correct that in the college documents and registration process other wise the data will be saved permanently.
