Dear student,

With 385 marks in NEET 2025 and belonging to the ST category in Karnataka , you do have a chance of getting an MBBS seat in a government college , though most likely not in the top ones .

For ST candidates, government college cutoffs in Karnataka usually fall between 400–450 marks , depending on the college. Some of the less competitive colleges may go a bit lower, especially in later counselling rounds .

So while 385 is slightly below the typical range, it's still within reach — especially if this year’s cutoffs dip a little or in mop-up rounds.

  • Definitely participate in Karnataka state counselling (KEA) .

  • Fill as many government colleges as possible in your choice list.

  • Keep an eye on later rounds , where chances improve.

hi,

With 385 marks in NEET 2025 and belonging to the ST category in Karnataka, you do have a fair chance of getting a seat in a government medical college. Looking at the previous years, many government colleges in Karnataka have had ST category cutoffs that are close to your range. Of course, top colleges like Bangalore Medical College may still have slightly higher cutoffs, but other good government colleges in places like Mandya, Belagavi, or Raichur could be within your reach.

Hello,

With 385 marks in NEET 2025 and belonging to the ST category in Karnataka, you may have a fair chance of securing a seat in a government medical college, though it largely depends on the cutoff trends. In previous years, ST category candidates in Karnataka with NEET scores around 380 to 400 have occasionally been allotted seats in government or semi-government medical colleges, particularly in rural or less sought-after locations.

Hope this helps. All the best!
