If your payment has done successfully then you have to take a print out of the payment receipt by clicking on the option of print receipt. Then you have to take this print out at the time of certificate verification along with other documents. 

Regarding your payment status you can wait for it if your payment has done successfully. 

In case if your payment has failed then also there is no need to worry as it will be credited back to your account in 2-3 working days.

I think to register your phone number is a good way to get confirmation but do not need to worry if you get notification of paid and you may also receive your transaction ID. Take a screenshot or copy your ID and past in complain box you may soon get answer or solution or maybe it also depends on the server you may get a notification soon or if not you may get you case. So no need to worry.
