Since you have entered wrong certificate date in your RRB Group D application, it can create problems during Document Verification. The Railway Recruitment Boards checks your original documents and compare them with the information you enter in the application form.
If the date on your original certificate does not match the date mentioned in your application, your reservation claim may be rejected. In that case, you will be treated as a General (UR) category candidate, and if your marks are below the UR cutoff, you may not qualify for selection. It may also lead to cancellation of your candidature.
RRB conducts strict verification during DV, checking details like certificate date, name, format, and issuing authority, and any mismatch can result in rejection. To avoid these problems, you should use the RRB Group D 2026 correction window, which is open from March 12 to 21 March 2026, and correct the certificate details through the official RRB Apply portal by paying a Rs. 250 fee.
Also ensure that your certificate is valid. For OBC-NCL or EWS candidates, the certificate must be recent for this recruitment cycle, so a certificate from 2022 will not be valid. For SC/ST candidates, the certificate has lifetime validity, but it is still better to have one in the latest Central Government format. Try to complete this process before the document verification stage.
