Well you can easily get job in IT Companies like Tcs,Infosys,Wipro ,accenture hire freshers in bulk by conducting off campus hiring.Now coming to the latter part of your question these companies providing package of 3–3.25 lkhs per annum which is comparitively low against the work load they give .But you can learn a lot in these companies if you are’nt from a IT background .Its quite tough to get jobs in mechanical cuz you have to fight amongst thousands to get a job in Psu by clearing GATE.But the struggle ends as soon as you get the job ,you get all the allowances by govt and your life becomes easy whereas in IT they’ll suck peace from your life .Coding ,developing software ,creating excel sheets becomes a monotonous task day by day .Also there is no job security .You have to update yourself to the changing technology or else You’ll be sacked. Its not that there is no fun in IT job .basically Its your choice which career you want to choose from. I will still suggest you to prepare for some competitive exam CAT,Gmat ,Bank considering you are good in logical thinking.
