If you want to do B.E. in Computer Science, then you should give various entrance exams like JEE Mains, State Level Engineering Entrance exams, BITS, etc. You should only do engineering only if you get a good college. The fees of good colleges (most of them) is less and also you will get a lot of exposure. Doing B.E/B.Tech from a bad college is wastage of money and time and everyone knows what happens after that. Choose Computer Science only if you have interest in it.

To do a BE in Computer Science, you can give various entrance exams. JEE Main is given in order to take admission into the NITs. ANd JEE main cut off has to be cleared to qualify to give the JEE advanced. It is given to seek admission  into the IITs.

A few more entrances you can  give are;

• BITSAT- For BITS
• VITEEE- For VIT University
• SRMJEEE- For SRM University
