Dear student, as you are not pursuing your diploma course in Telangana, you can definitely go for lateral entry into 2nd year of BTech colleges directly. There is no restriction regarding the state you have studied Diploma and the state which you are are going to pursue BTech. You are fully free to apply in all the colleges of India who accept lateral entry.
