Sharmila, we have all been there. We would like to do something and our parents would want us to do something different. But because they have better exposure of the world than us, once in a while it makes sense to listen to them as well. So taking up Mathematics is also not a bad idea. That means you will have a back up plan if things do not go your way. So it is not a bad idea after all to also include Mathematics in your 12th subjects.
