Hello there,

There are certain guidelines set up by the Authorities when talking about eyesight in Aviation and Air force for obvious reasons. The guidelines laid are as follows :-

The maximum limits for refractive error should not exceed

  1. Hypermetropia - +3.5D
  2. Myopia - -3.5D
  3. Astigmatism - ±2.5 cyl

The visual Acuity should be 6/9 in both eyes and wearing of glasses will be compulsory when advised.

The colour index should be equal or better than CP-II

So you lie in the safe zone in Myopic region which can be corrected by wearing glasses and are completely fit for Airforce Ground Duty.

Hope this helped you.
