To begin with, yes you can join Indian Army with slightly weak eyesight but there are certain conditions that should be fulfilled:

1. Distance vision(corrected): Better eye 6/6, worse eye 6/18
2. the myopia should not be more than -3.5D and hypermetropia should not be more than +3.5D including Astigmation.
3. The color vision standard should be CP-III (Defective safe).

A person can go through LASIK/PSR or LASER surgery for correction of refractive error. Internal examination of the eye will be done by the organization by means of ophthalmoscope to rule out any disease of the eye.
