Yes, your son will have to write JEE MAINS examinations two times a year ie; in January and April if he is going to apply for the examinations in 2019 according to the new rules of the board of authorities.

JEE Mains and NEET both shall be conducted twice for better opportunities. exams will be conducted in janurary and april. students can give anyone or both. JEE Mains shall be online from now.
