Computer Science Engineering (CSE )  . The entire world is revolving around computer science.  Think about gaming and virtual reality  which has been a domain for increase in market share. The security which a computer software provides for eg : the online transaction you make and transfer payments from one country to another, without security it is impossible to perform that task . The business that the professional run in an industry can never me more achieved without computer science. 

On the plus side the basic entry level package in Cse is higher than ECE in India.

The difficulty level is same whether Cse or Ece.

Electronics and communication engineering (ECE) on the other side gives you an extra option to study  subjects like electrical and electronics for your master's degree. 
ECE subjects mostly are Embedded systems , tobotics , vlsi etc : . You can code assemble or manage the networks . The curriculum is more vast than Cse though.
Both the branches have a wide scope.

ECE students can sit for Cse companies also  which is a major advantage. There are also jobs in which Ece students are only allowed but not Cse students.

But its you who have to decide what your passion and goals are.

Both the engineering branches are best and under core one . It all depends on your interest level that are you interested in electronics part or in computer technology .
Like you are interested to operate arduino or you are interested in coding of arduino .
Both the feilds are way too different from each other and are tough courses so if one doesnt have interest then it will be hard to pursue.
According to placement scenario CSE has high packages .
