If you have passed minimum 3 year Diploma in Engineering from a recognized board you can apply for admission to B.Tech through lateral entry. You will be admitted in to second year B.Tech. The lateral entry counselling will be conducted by the state if it is state level selection and by the institute if it is institute level selection. There are various entrance examination conducted such as TS ECET, AP ECET, Haryana LEET etc. The admission may also depend on marks scored in Diploma in Engineering depending on the institute.
