There are various career option after btech.

If you are technically strong and wish to contribute something to the subject, go for M.S in U.S or M.Tech in India. You can then go for research.

If you wish to set up a business or join an MNC or find a job and interested in pure management kind of stuff, go for MBA in India. (Attempt CAT)

If you like both, go for techno-management courses like Project Management / Industrial Management etc.

You get a white collar job with a decent pay after completion of these programmes.

You can also opt for campus placement.

2. Opt for Job based on your interest.

3. Opt for Government Exams, many exams are available for the same.

4. Opt for MBA for better management & better package.

5. Opt for higher studies abroad, MS as it's said either wise(in your technical field)

6. Give exams for further studies in abroad based on management (GMAT etc.)

7. Give other exams like the ones for Banks etc.

8. You can also try for Entrepreneurship as is the boom in Indian ecosystem right now.

There are multiple options after an engineering degree :

Master of Science i.e MS : MS is a good option now a days if you can get some loan from a bank which is easily available. But choose an ambitious university depending upon your field of study. After 2 years you will be able to repay the loan in just few months,not to worry about it. But be ready to live away from your family.

MTech : If you want to pursue your career in same field then Mtech is a good option but prepare thoroughly for GATE, to get a good college.

MBA : If you got bored studing the same thing for 4 years then MBA is quite a good option now a days to change the field. Be ready to bell the CAT to get a college of your choice.

Civil services : If a government job exites you then UPSC is a good thing to give a shot. People prepare for years to give this exam and bag a good govt job.

Job : If you think you had enough of studies in your life then you can always go for a job. Save some money before switching to any more study or another job.

Passion : After engineering people realise their passion now a days. So if you think you have that passion in you, you can always switch to that. It can be anything like acting,singing,photography,travelling,journalism,animation,blogging,writting etc.
