VITEEE never provides total mark scored by the student in the result. VITEEE result only provides your rank in the exam.

So, mark vs. rank is unpredictable for VITEEE.

The opening and closing ranks are the only cutoff criteria.it means that the last closing rank is the cutoff required to get seat at VIT.

VIT University does not release any cutoff for VITEEE. However, the opening and closing rank of VITEEE 2018 will be considered as the cutoff for admissions. VITEEE 2018 cutoff is the closing rank or the last rank at which admission is closed at the institute. This means that candidates aspiring to seek admission in B.Tech programmes at VIT University must secure a rank equal to or below the closing rank. Candidates having ranks above the cutoff of VITEEE 2018 will not be considered for admissions. VITEEE cutoff (VIT cutoff) is available for Chennai and Vellore campuses, however it’s not available for Bhopal and Amaravati campuses of VIT University.
