IPS officer is a huge responsibility position. You will be become government service worker.

If you want to be IPS officer then you will give UPSC examination. For this examination you have to study history, sociology, general knowledge, current affairs, political science, mathematics, english etc. This are main subjects. You have to graduate for appearing this examination. But I'll suggest you that you can join college in political science or history. Because it will help full for you. But so many engineers, doctors, pharmacists are also become a IPS officer. So the course is doesn't matter. You have to extra study for this examination.
