It has been speculated that the Medical counselling body is planning on organising an All Party Meeting to decide the pattern in which the seats will be increased to accomodate the candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Sections. In the situation of Tamilnadu accepting this EWS quota, seats in all Medical Colleges have to be increased by 25%. That is why authorities want to take time and decide. Hence the delay.
