Yes, many government medical colleges in Gujarat (including BHMS and BAMS) have something called a discontinuation bond.

Basically, when you take admission under a government quota or subsidized seat, you're signing an agreement that you’ll complete the course. If you leave midway especially after the 1st year, the college might charge a penalty fee, which can range between 50,000 to 2 lakhs, depending on the college.Sometimes, they even withhold documents like your original marksheets or TC until the fee is paid. That’s why it’s very important to check the admission form or ask the office if there’s a bond.
