Hey !
Assuming your query to be regarding the state category you come under ( as in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh). Basically it depends upon the place where you spend maximum years of your secondary education. As of now, the four years of continuous study from Class IV to X is being considered to accord local status in Telangana. If the condition is not satisfied then you come under non-local category (for Telangana).
