Theres many condition applies like if you had already given jee 3 times then you cannot apply for jee one more time but if you had not then you can definitely appear for paper .and if you had a year gap in apparing for jee then you cannot appear for the paper the exam must be given consecutively every year.
If you pass with this two conditions then go and write the paper.

The thing is you can write jee even if you are in your first year .so if you gonna write barch you can and if you get in the college you have to leave and start from the beginning by which you will lose one year . If you want to you can write . Wishing you luck
