Dear Vikas, EWS Category is based on State Reservations System. It is for those General Category Students who do not fall under SC/ST/OBC and do not have any other reservation. Their annual income from all sources should be less than 8 lakhs per annum. Marathas have specific reservation and they have to utilise that category. They cannot claim EWS category.
