In many cases you will be able to get a certificate from Central government aswell.But in case if ur caste is not recognized by the central government as an OBC caste,you won't be able to get that certificate and hence the caste certificate given by state government will not be eligible to write the exam.

Dear Akansha  you need to have both state and central government  certificate at the time of counselling ..where you will need al your documents to submit them there as well as if you will get admitted in any of the colleges there too you need all of your documents because I am a 2nd year student from IIT Roorkee and I suffered the same problem . so it's not too late to make a central government too...
