If you are aiming for a combat role, then at recruitment stage, the vision of the candidate must be 6′6. However the eyesight does become weak with age and one has to wear spectacles.

If you are planning to join in the specialised stream such as doctor etc there is some relaxation which is specified in the recruitment notification itself.

If you are aspiring to join army, you can try LASIK surgery to restore your vision, just a suggestion.
