If there are 59 vacancies in the General District (EWS) and 4 candidates, and 61 vacancies in the Border District (EWS) but only 2 candidates are called, then the remaining vacant seats will be carried forward.

These unfilled vacancies are usually transferred to the next recruitment cycle or adjusted as per SSC rules. Sometimes, they may also be converted to another category or district if allowed by SSC’s reservation and allocation policy.

In short, the remaining EWS Border District vacancies will not be wasted but carried forward or adjusted according to SSC’s official vacancy adjustment rules.
