If you consider scope wise and placement wise then every year you will find that commonly CSE or IT branches have a great scope everywhere. In jammu kashmir, civil branch is also a great choice. In CSE branch you get more government sector job opportunities with high salary but civil branch is also not less important in terms of jobs opportunities. So, choose your branch wisely and on the basis of your merit rank. Hope you find it useful.

In engineering branch  the best scope is for CSE and E&C mainly. If you are interested in a specific course you should take up that instead of getting a branch you like. There are several other branches such a s civil engineering, aerospace engineering, mining engineering, E&E and many others. During placements CSE branch has the highest placements with package of 10+lakhs in most of the colleges compared to other branches. You will have knowledge of computer science and can take specialisation which will help you get job easily.
