Hi Dear
A great number of anesthetic techniques ( general ,regional, spinal, epidural, caudal, hypotensive, total intravenous, regional intravenous, inhalation, and nerve blocks) can be used for multiple surgical procedures [13]
Most common method like Induction (going off to sleep)

Your anaesthetist may start your anaesthetic or induce 'sleep' in one of three ways. Induction may be: intravenous (into the vein): the most common method. inhalation (by breathing in) sometimes called gas induction: often used in children.
Thanks

Dear aspirant

Local anesthesia, also called local anesthetic, is usually a one-time injection of medicine that numbs a small area of the body. It is used for procedures such as performing a skin biopsy or breast biopsy, repairing a broken bone, or stitching a deep cut.

They are used in various techniques of local anaesthesia such as:

  • Topical anaesthesia (surface)
  • Topical administration of cream, gel, ointment, liquid, or spray of anaesthetic dissolved in DMSO or other solvents/carriers for deeper absorption
  • Infiltration
  • Brachial plexus block
  • Epidural block
  • Spinal anaesthesia(subarachnoid block)
  • Iontophoresis

Local anaesthesia are mainly used in acute pain, chronic pain, surgery, diagnostic tests etc.

Hope this was helpful for you

All the best
