The normal and fixed criteria of attendance in every college the student must have is 75% and it may vary from college to college but the majority of them have an attendance criteria of 75% to attend your semester exam. So if you have less than that you won't be able to attend it. But if you have a valid reason for not attending the classes then they might allow you to attend it. The attendance is mentioned on every college website.
