Hello,

Since the height of capillary tube filled is inversely proportional to gravitational pull. Hence, if the gravitational pull decreases then capillary rise decreases.

h is the height to which the liquid rises. If tube is of insufficient height, the liquid will rise to the top of the tube and spread over the brim. Thus, the radius of meniscus will adjust to a new value so that Rh remains constant.

Thank you.

Hello Aspirant...

Hope you are doing good.

A capillary tube is a thin tube that is put into a liquid to naturally raise the level of liquid inside the tube. When a capillary tube is submerged in liquid, the surface tension of the liquid exerts some strain on the tube's interface. As a result of this, liquid rises in the capillary tube, a phenomenon known as capillary rise. As a result, some liquid will enter the tube, increasing the net weight of the tube.

the height of a liquid in a fine capillary tube , According to the expression: h=2Tcosrg, the height climbed by the liquid is determined by the surface tension (T) of the liquid, the angle of contact () between the surface of the tube and the liquid, the radius of the tube (r), the density of the liquid (), and the net value of acceleration due to gravity (g).

water can rise up to 10 cm in the capillary tube.

Hope this information helps you...
