Pitcher plant is the plant that traps and feeds on the insects. This is a carnivorous plant and its leaves are called pitfall traps. The leaves are in the shape of a cup and are slippery to the sides. The leaves trench in a way that the trapped insects cannot climb out and escape. These leaves follow a prey-traping mechanism.
