This branch is present in limited colleges in India. Talking about the scope for the students studying in this branch, almost all kind of companies allow them to sit in the campus placements like software consultancies,business analysts, data scientists and core companies involving technical work.

One can appear in GATE for higher studies and to secure a job in PSUs.Number of students are also few so competition is low.But the subjects available at mtech level have very few seats so one needs to perform exceptionally well in gate for getting paper of their choice.Same condition apply for PSUs too.

One benefit you get is, after doing btech in this branch you can persue higher studies in subjects of electrical engineering and communication engineering too if you develop more interest in those subjects.
