The salary offered to any employee is usually expressed in per annum(p.a.) i.e. anually and it varies for different companies.

You might check the offer letter whether the saalry details given is monthly or anually. Usually salary of 3.6 lacs is given anually.

If this is your salary package offered by any company who came for placementt , then the placement packages offered by these companies are mostly in terms of LPA i.e. lakhs per annum. So if your salary offered is 3.6 lacs , it would most probably be given in terms of annual salary.
