The mentioned statement is false. 0 is the smallest whole number and the series of whole number starts from 0,1,2,3... and goes till infinity.

Similarly 1 is the smallest natural number and the series goes till infinity. However there is no smallest integer value as it ranges from minus infinity to plus infinity.
