There are three sections in CAT, namely:

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation

Quantitative Ability

Hello

The CAT exam is generally for three hours for 100 marks having three sections Verbal ability,Data interpretation and logical reasoning,quantitative ability. The questions are in the form of Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs).

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC) - 34

Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) - 32

Quantitative Ability (QA) - 34

The sections will  appear in the same order as mentioned above

The number of questions in each section is different

for the detailed CAT exam pattern 2018, syllabus, marking scheme kindly visit
