There are mainly four thermal properties of matter:

• Heat capacity- It is the amount of heat required by the body to change its temperature by 1 degree
• Thermal Expansion- The property of matter or object of expansion upon heating is termed thermal expansion.
• Thermal conductivity- it is defined as the extent of a material to allow the passing of heat energy through it.
• Thermal stress- It is property of matter or object of expansion upon heating.
