While it is true that students start training for IIT at a very young age, there is no such thing as "inborn talent", at least not in this respect. Anybody can get into IIT, provided they have the  determination and willpower to work towards it. You need to remember that smart work pays off better than hard work and you need to get your priorities straight. As one of my teachers once told me, the IITians are just normal human beings like you and me but that superhuman effort put into their work is what makes them excel.
